Reto Jauch leads our Board and CEO practice. He advises boards on succession planning and conducts CEO searches. His clients include organisations in the public sector, privately held enterprises as well as publicly listed companies across industries.

He has been the European Head of a renowned global executive search firm with responsibility for board and CEO assignments across Switzerland, continental Europe and the United Kingdom. Based on over 25 years of experience, he has accumulated significant experience and understanding of the most pressing challenges that boards face. He conducts board reviews and consults for board effectiveness based on a thorough assessment process.

Strengthening diversity in the boardroom and supporting the understanding of the impact of sustainability and ESG on board decisions are at the center of Reto Jauch’s focus.  He is the co-founder of and advisor to the Board Mentoring Program. The programme focuses on pairing experienced chairs and members of boards with strong female board candidates, with the aim of increasing gender diversity on boards. He is also a board member at Techsoup, a San Francisco-based technology provider for non-profits, charities and public services.

Previous Experience 
Before founding and running an international search firm with offices in London, Zurich and New York, Reto was the European head and managing director of A.T. Kearney’s executive search and talent practice, where he led a team of 80 consultants in 10 office locations across Europe. He started his consulting career at a search firm with a European advisory focus.

Education 
Reto studied history of economics at the University of Zurich and at Université de Montréal. He also completed the Program for Executive Development (PED) at IMD, Lausanne.

Activities 
Reto is a member of the board of trustees of the foundation of the Pontifical Swiss Guard, based in Fribourg. He is chairman of the City Swiss Club London and he is an advisory board member at The Alternative Investment Club (TAIC). He recently completed the INSEAD Gender Diversity Programme.
